Taught Honestly
Most photography courses skip the hard parts. We built ours around them.
Dealmagicwave started in South Albury in 2023 with a straightforward idea: people learn better when they understand why a technique works, not just how to copy it. Our masterclasses are structured around real shooting scenarios — low light, moving subjects, difficult outdoor conditions — rather than idealised studio setups.
Each session is led by a working photographer, not a presenter. That means you get honest feedback on what actually takes time to get right, and a realistic picture of the learning curve ahead.

What the curriculum actually covers
The sessions move through exposure fundamentals, composition decisions, and post-processing in Lightroom — in that order, because each depends on the one before it. There are no skipped steps and no assumed knowledge beyond knowing how to hold a camera.
Participants work with their own gear throughout. That matters because the adjustments you make on a mirrorless body differ from those on a DSLR, and understanding your specific tool is part of the learning.
12
structured modules per course
Structured, not rushed
Each module focuses on a single skill area. You finish one before moving to the next — no overlap, no confusion about where you are in the process.
Small groups by design
Sessions cap at 8 participants. That size allows the instructor to review individual shots during the session, not just at the end. Feedback is specific to what you actually captured, not a general comment on the exercise.
If you have a question about your own camera settings or a shot that didn't work, there's time and space to work through it.
